Dear fellow humans,

I am a trans man of color who was previously homeless. This unit is home to my cat Puma and I. He is my emotional support animal and helps me continue living each day. I am grateful to have this space and call it home. It is cold outside and this apartment is near campus, making school really accessible. I like it here and would like to avoid receiving an eviction notice if at all possible. Please help us continue living here by donating to our rent goal for March 2024.

I need help paying for rent on my apartment for the month of March in the amount of $1472. Towards the end of January I experienced a week of back to back asthma attacks from tobacco exposure that led to me going to the ER three times and four dr appointments to get my health back to stable(ish). I had to take an entire week and multiple days off of school and was unable to workfrom January 28 to March 13. I am wrapping up with finals and will begin working again as soon as those are done. I am a delivery driver, and going to work means chances of trigger exposures which would disable me again. All things considered, I am having difficulty paying for March rent. I applied to TRUA and a couple of other programs for rental assistance, but did not receive funding for the month of february or march, and I don’t know if I’ll receive any assistance for the month of April. Puma and I are grateful for your donation.
