Dan Spruill needs our help.

William Daniel Spruill, we call him Dan, stands 6ft 6in but what is more noticeably big is his heart. He doesn't see his need as being dire enough to start this funding for himself, so I am writing in his place. He thought I was making a joke when I suggested it, but there is nothing funny about the weightloss he has succumb to resulting from a thyroid condition. He has a lump and has just done the first biopsy testing in the photo. Hoping for good news but I'm afraid to ask what he weighs, his diagnosis has surfaced diabetes and arthritis. He still has a great smile and we like taking pics making funny faces. Over a year ago we met and were instant friends since I have a Class A licence, and I drive an 18Wheeler across the country(currently in Kentucky) while Dan also has his Class A with EVERY ENDORSEMENT, meaning qualifications to drive almost anything including school buses, which he used to drive. I have no endorsements, and so I can pull only one kind of trailer. This slight common ground from a quick comparison of our Commercial Driver Licences has turned Dan into my best friend from my hometown. I am always traveling but we email eachother daily. I have found in these exchanges he also used to be a fire fighter, he hauled horses, and wishes to haul cars but he does not qualify for these positions now due to medical restrictions. Even still he is well qualified to cover Jim Morrison and sing karaoke. He is always reaching out to talk about his day, or something silly, we often post Grumpy Cat memes back and forth as happiness can seem sarcastic during these rough times. The doctor has mentioned taking out a thyroid gland. Dan mentioned $700 worth of medication that he already cannot afford and his insurance will not cover. So, I'm asking please, donate for our friend, do it for Dan.  (edited 04/07/16)
