Oscar’s Surgery

Donation protected
Hi everyone. It breaks our hearts that we even have to make a page for this, but our Oscar is in trouble and we need help to provide life saving surgery for him. Oscar is a 2 year old French bulldog who has been a light in our lives and is loved by everyone who comes in contact with him.

Two days ago he started showing signs of lethargy, was shaking profusely, and not eating any food (which is extremely uncommon for him if you know him). We took him to our vet where they found liquid and a mass the size of a softball in his stomach. They told us we would have to drive him to a specialty hospital immediately.

At the specialty hospital, Oscar underwent blood work and an ultrasound to determine what the mass was and what our next steps would be. They found that his spleen had been twisted or clotted which caused it to enlarge and cut off blood flow, known as splenic torsion. The doctor told us they need to perform a splenectomy, which is when they remove his spleen and have it tested for cancer. Because his blood cells are extremely low, they said they will most likely need to give him a blood transfusion as well. They told us something like this happening to a 2 year old French Bulldog is extremely rare.

The surgery to save Oscars life is going to be very expensive and we need as much support as possible.  Anything helps whether it’s $1, a prayer, or a repost. Thank you so much to anyone reading or willing to help our Oscar.
