UPDATE-My father has passed away today.  May he rest in peace. All proceeds will go to his funeral and any leftover donations will go to My mother my 12 year old twin brothers and high school sister who live together.

Mi papa a fallecido, que descanse en paz. Todas las donaciones se van a ir para el funeral de mi papa y lo que sobre se va ir para mi mama y sus hijos menor de edad. 

Servando is the proud father of 6 kids, ages 32, 29, 24, 17, and twins 12 years old. He is also a grandfather of two young girls. Servando Falcon Noriega was born 53 years ago in Jalisco, Mexico and immigrated at age 16 with his older brother to the United States. He worked picking fields in Medford, Oregon, before settling in the Los Angeles County. He met my mother at age 19, and they moved in together in Huntington Park, CA when my older brother was born the following year. Two years after I was born, we moved to Compton, CA and he worked for more than 30 years as a baker, baking Birthday, Quinceañera and boda cakes. He always worked overtime, and when needed worked 2 jobs at one time. I remember he would always bring home employee of the month certificates and we would put them up on the wall. My father worked very hard to provide food and shelter. His job did not pay him well, but he did his best to navigate life and provide us with the basic needs.

My father always loved school, but he did not have the opportunity to continue, because he lived in a rural area and he had no money to take the bus to continue past 9th grade. I always admired how smart he is and how when I was in high school learning the countries of Africa, he remembered the capitals of the countries, which I had no idea of.

My father unfortunately became a victim of alcoholism and soon was diagnosed with cirrhosis, and over the past years he has only gotten worst. He is now in the worst condition he has been, with liver failure and kidney disfunction.

 My mother is also disabled because she has Epilepsy, and we do not have the means to be able to afford any of this. I currently am in law school and am over $200,000 in loans and am unable to provide anything. Anything would help. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Servando es el orgulloso padre de 6 hijos, de 32, 29, 24, 17 y gemelos de 12 años. También es abuelo de dos niñas. Servando Falcon Noriega nació hace 53 años en Jalisco, México y emigró a los 16 años con su hermano mayor a Estados Unidos. Trabajó como campesino en Medford, Oregon, antes de establecerse en el condado de Los Ángeles. Conoció a mi madre a los 19 años y se mudaron juntos a Huntington Park, CA cuando nació mi hermano mayor. Dos años después de mi nacimiento, nos mudamos a Compton, CA y él trabajó durante más de 30 años como panadero, haciendo y decorando pasteles de cumpleaños, quinceañeras y bodas. Siempre trabajaba horas extras y, cuando era necesario, trabajaba en 2 trabajos a la vez. Recuerdo que siempre traía a casa certificados de empleado del mes y los poníamos en la pared. Mi padre trabajó muy duro para darnos comida y un techno. Su trabajo no le pagaba bien, pero hizo todo lo posible para navegar la vida y darnos las cosas que eran necesarias para vivir. A mi padre siempre le gustó la escuela, pero no tuvo la oportunidad de continuar, porque vivía en una zona rural y no tenía dinero para tomar el autobús y continuar más allá del noveno grado. Siempre admiro lo inteligente que es y cómo cuando yo estaba en la escuela secundaria aprendiendo los países de África, recordaba las capitales de los países, de las que yo no tenía ni idea.

Desafortunadamente, mi padre es víctima del alcoholismo y pronto le diagnosticaron cirrosis, y en los últimos años solo ha empeorado. Ahora se encuentra en las peores condiciones que ha tenido, con el igado no funcionando bien, y disfunción renal. 

 Mi madre también está discapacitada porque tiene epilepsia y no tenemos los medios para poder pagar nada de esto. Actualmente estoy en la escuela de ley y tengo más de $ 200,000 en préstamos y no puedo ayudar con tanto dinero. Tampoco mis hermanos tienen tanto dinero. Cualquier cosa ayudaría.
