As we all know, times get tough and we may need a little extra help! It’s never easy stepping out of your comfort zone and asking for assistance from the community.
Heather Diaz is a devoted single mother of two young children who experience disabilities, Eric Diaz and Payton Diaz. Heather lost her mother, Rena Winkler, in 2020. Heather used to reside in New Mexico and, after the passing of her mother, moved to Alaska to be closer to family and continue a better life for her children.
Though she has been able to stay afloat to the best of her ability over the last few years since relocating and working with family, she has faced some financial challenges this month to continue the basic but important functions of monthly bills. Those bills include rent, as well as utilities.
Heather Diaz and her immediate family are working together to assist with keeping her and her children in a warm home. Heather Diaz has reached out to multiple financial assistance agencies in the state of Alaska and has been put on a waitlist. Heather and her family are reaching out to our great Alaska community to help raise funds and keep them safe from potential eviction and out in the cold.
Anything helps, and we will be grateful for any advice and assistance we may receive through this. Heather Diaz is offering work assistance with cleaning homes, doing laundry, and any task she can possibly help with to also give back to the community who may be able to help her through this time.
