Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer High Risk

Dear friends and family,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to ask for your help during a difficult time in my life. I recently found out that I have cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma) in November. On January 30, 2023, was my surgery, where I had a bilateral mastectomy and removal of 3 lymph nodes under my right arm because cancer began spreading into my lymph nodes. At this moment, I am home healing from my surgery and cannot work. In about two to four weeks, I expect to begin chemotherapy which should last at least 6 months. I expect to go back to work in about august as long as everything goes smoothly as planned. This kind of cancer spread rapidly and is high risk and I plan to fight like hell to not only beat this cancer but to prevent cancer from ever returning.

Although my insurance covers some of the costs, it does not cover everything. While going through chemo, medical bills and treatments are adding up. My husband is working 7 days a week trying to make ends meet. My daughter deals with chronic pain and works part-time. Her condition is yet to be diagnosed, so she is constantly seeing a headache specialist and neurologist. My husband is the primary holder of our insurance policy, so between me and our daughter, the medical bills are piling up. Also, we have our monthly expenses and my being out of work has put a toll on us. This fundraiser page is to help take some of the financial burdens off my family. I don't want them to have to bear the financial burden alone. I am unable to work for the next seven months at least not only due to the surgeries, but chemotherapy makes the body weak and more susceptible to illnesses, so working is not a possibility.

I am a fighter, and I am determined to beat this disease. However, I cannot do it without your help. Remember every little bit counts towards my financial situation.
