In Memory of: Aniq Ali

As parents and older siblings, we take on the onus of protecting our young and ensuring their well-being. Despite our greatest efforts, tragically life doesn’t always go according to plan. As a father arrives home from work he is often overcome with joy and happiness knowing that he’s made it home to his family; the last sight he expects to witness is the loss of his son’s life in front of his very eyes. Last month, 23 year-old Aniq Ali was found unconscious in the driver’s seat of his car parked outside of the house by his father as he had just arrived home from work.  He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, however, we soon learned that an Angel had been reclaimed.

In his name, his family has put aside their emotional pain and anguish in order to provide something to the less fortunate. They would like an opportunity to provide life’s greatest resource that is so often taken for granted, water. In honor of Aniq, the funds that will be raised will go directly to building a well in a third world country which will provide fresh water and a chance at survival to people who do not have any access to fresh water. Not only will this opportunity supply hundreds with fresh water, but it will also provide Aniq’s family closure in knowing that although their beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin may no longer be here physically, his legacy will continue to make a positive impact in this world. Every dollar donated will be put towards the well project.
