On October 20, 2024, our family’s world was shattered by a phone call we never could have prepared for. My two little brothers and my cousin Omari were trapped inside a burning apartment. Tragically, my 22-year-old brother Mychel and our 16-year-old cousin Omari did not make it. My youngest brother Malik, who is only 11, was pulled from the fire but is now in critical condition on life support with severe burns.

Our family is reeling from this unimaginable loss. Their mother, a single mother who adored her boys, is heartbroken. Mychel and Malik were her only children, and she is now facing the heartbreaking reality of burying one of her sons while holding onto hope for the other.

We are asking for your help. Between the funeral expenses for Mychel and the mounting hospital costs for Malik’s treatment, we are struggling to manage the financial burden on top of this emotional devastation.
