North Bay Aquatics 2023 Annual Fund
Doação protegida
This time of year is when we start up our clubs final fundraiser of the year; the annual fund. The “Annual Fund” is an integral part to the vitality of our organization. For those of you who are new to the Annual Fund, we strive for 100% participation from all families and appreciate donations at all levels from $20 to $500. Every donation helps our team!
Our mission at North Bay is simple - 8 words, 1 sentence, no fluff, straight to it. "NBA Coaches Character & Excellence Through Competitive Swimming." 2023 was no different.
- Graduated 19(!!!) Swimmers of which 8 continued swimming at the Varsity level for MIT, UCSB, Tufts, Colby, Harvard, University of San Diego, American, Colorado College, and Bowdoin. Another 6 swimmers from that crew joined their club swim teams, showing our impact continues once swimmers leave our program.
- 3 swimmers from this years graduating class already committed to swim at Stanford, Cal-Berkeley, and UCSB.
- 6 Scholastic All Americans, tied for the second most in our programs history behind only last year with 8
- Recognized as an ASCA Top 100 Age Group Program in the Country
- Recognized as a Bronze Medal USA Swimming Club Excellence Program
- Marre Gattnar won the Junior National Title in the 50 Freestyle, becoming the 2nd Tuna to win a National Title
Our impact continues beyond the typical awards and recognitions.
The NBA varsity program is blossoming - a group that started with 8 kids for 2 months in December of 2021 is now 30 swimmers strong and offered year round.
Our coaching staff created a coalition of swim coaches from Marin including USA Swim, MSL, and high school staffs to meet monthly and discuss how to improve swimming in the area. Some big announcements coming out of this in February or March!!!
We want to continue raising our impact in the community beyond fast swimming (though we love that, too) and your donations will help us do just that.
To quote Don, "I thank you for all you contribute to our North Bay community…carefully disguised as a swim team."
Go Tuna!!
