Support Funeral Expense for Pamela Dickson

Donation protected

I’m a good friend of Michael Dickson, Pamela Dickson’s son. I decided to create this Go Fund Me to help raise money for her funeral expenses for him so that he has time to plan other things out. Michael has taken care of his mom for many years so now it’s up to him to figure everything out on his own. He did absolutely anything and everything for her and he will continue to make sure she has a proper burial like she truly deserved.

I got the pleasure to meet her about 7 years ago because I was friends with her son. She was so sweet and caring. She would have given you the shirt off her back. We stayed in touch all these years and I truly wish I could have spoken with her one more time. I was very fortunate to know such a sweet human being like her. Shenever wanted to bother anyone nor ask for a dime but Michael wants to make sure she will be taken care of even now so anything you donate will help a lot, whether it’s $1 or $5. Every single donation is beyond appreciated.

Below is a letter written about Pam from her best friend of 20 years.

Pam was one of the most beautiful woman inside and out.
We met in a chat room in September 2000 and instantly connected. We had so much in common from being widowed to our boys being the same age. Both single Mom’s we would talk almost every day about life past and present. Michael was her Pride and Joy. Both her children, Tracey and Michael were her Life that she would do anything for.

She never complained when times got hard and had to sacrifice to make it easier for her children.
Michael was Pam’s Rock in his Childhood and young adult life and she would always talk with pride in her voice about Michael. I could see why. She always mentioned what Michael ( lil Mike) as she called him did for her. And Pam was Michael’s rock, I’ve never seen such a devoted son. As we say in the south. A Momma’s boy with a heart of Gold. Those 2 were peanut butter and Jelly.. When Mike could have left home for a life of his own after college it warmed my heart to know he refused to stay at home to help out his Momma and take care of Her. As she took care of him.

Pam, bless her heart, never wanted to be a burden and rarely ever asked for help. After she found out she was Diagnosed with stage 4 Kidney Disease. She did not throw a pity party for herself. She pulled up her bootstraps and said what can I do to see my son married and watch her precious grandchildren grow up.
Pam and I would talk for hours. Her love of cats was only 2nd to her love of her family. She welcomed Friends like they were family. To my children she was Aunt Pam, For myself she was my best friend for 20 years.
I’m sure if you knew Pam for any amount of time. She was momma to many that weren’t her Blood. She was always to me, the epitome of what a southern bred lady is. And more than a friend, a sister of the heart rather than blood.

Pam , your love of Lobster, strawberry pie and Mudbugs always put a smile on my face and I always thought to myself. Where in the hell do you put all that food lady? You were such a little thing.
Pam was down to earth , no nonsense woman who loved fishing for catfish by the pond. Traveling. Art, Music and Crawfish Festivals. She would do anything for anybody, if it was in her power to do so and never bat an eye or ask anything in return.
Which made her so easy to love.

She was a bright shiny candle in people's lives. That has now been softly blown out, however her memory and lasting impressions are encased in our hearts forever. I’m going to miss you , but I know we will meet again and share some sweet tea and shrimp. I love you and miss you so much. Till we meet again….
