Goodbyes hurt the most when the story was not finished…

Hello all, my name is Jennifer Abeyta. I’ve started this Go Fund Me for my best friend Melissa Walker and the family of Robert Walker.

It is with deep pain that I tell you all that our sweet Rob passed away on July 24th at approximately 5 pm. He battled colon cancer for just about five years. This man fought to the very end.

For all that know Rob, we know he was a stubborn and persistent man. He wanted to die on his own terms but thus, cancer wouldn’t have it that way.

He passed away with his very close loved ones right by his side.

He leaves behind his wife, daughter, parents, siblings and many many dear friends.

Rob served in the Air Force for 12 years.! Thank you for your service.

Robs story was not over. He had so many goals, adventures, traveling, fathering, loving on his wife endlessly and let’s not forget... telling us all his ridiculous dad jokes to do. Haha.

Melissa told me once that Rob couldn’t wait to learn to braid his daughter’s hair.

He simply wanted to make it to Maryanne’s 1st birthday.

But his legacy will live on through Maryanne and the village that’s got her back.

I’m so happy that Rob got his epic love story with Melissa and the legacy of his daughter Maryanne, who will be so strong.

This fundraiser is not just to help with funeral costs. It’s to honor Robert Walker. It’s to help his family with any unforeseen finances that may arise during this very hard time. No one should have to deal or worry with the thoughts of finances when putting their loved one to rest.
