Well this is a hard one to write:The Doctors here in Missouri can longer help me, they sent all my medical records to the Mayo Hospital in Rochester Minnesota,it is the#1 Hospital in the nation,they read my medical records and called me and accepted me as a patient and gave me my patient#at this point my stomach is completely paralyzed and my stomach pacemaker I've had for 2yrs.now is barely working anymore allowing me to only eat once a day .I have several other medical issues that are making everything very complicated,my husband and I live on our Social Security which covers our bills here at home, but in no way will it cover to get me to the Mayo Hospital in Minnesota,and for the motels that we will have to stay in during my treatments,and while I am in the hospital my husband is not allowed to stay overnight with me.I talked to a social worker there and there is no Ronald McDonald House there for families of patients, only a few motels that will give a discount to patient families we did research and the cheapest motel was motel 6 and it is $60.00 a night and we have no idea how long how long I will have to be there, right now I have 3 surgeries coming up quick trying to get them all in before I leave,1st one is esophagus it is not functioning well,2nd colon may have to have my colon removed,3rd vascular stents in left leg artery, they are trying to cram all this in before I have to leave,my kidney disease has me going into kidney failure.The Doctor's at the Mayo believe they can help me have a longer life and a better quality of life, and I really want that.I want to watch my grandchildren grow,I would never ask anyone for help, but this is bigger than me, this is my life,My check in time at the Mayo is 8:30 on March 24 if you are able to help me I would greatly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.God Bless ❤️ Missy Lewis
