On December 30th, our lives took an unexpected turn.

My brother Miguel was involved in a serious accident—he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bike to work. This has been one of the most difficult moments our family has ever faced.

For those who know Miguel, you know that life has never been easy for him. Despite the cards he was dealt, he has always been a fighter. And for those who haven’t had the chance to meet him, Miguel is one of the most caring, selfless people you could know. No matter the distance, he always checked in on his family. He loves deeply, and his priority has always been to find stability so he could help those he loves. Even with very little, he made the most of what he had. I have never met someone more resilient than my brother.

Miguel is currently in a hospital in Texas, continuing to fight with the same strength we’ve always known him for. Our family is asking for the support of friends, family, and anyone who finds it in their heart to help. We are trying to bring Miguel back to California, where we can care for him 24/7 and be by his side during his recovery.
