Moving to Colorado

Hey! I hope your life is full of love and abundance, because we're asking for some overflow of it.

My name is Avery Wade and I am a 30 year old trans man in Florida seeking asylum in Colorado. Due to the anti trans legislations and feeling unsafe, we are forced to uproot our lives to the north.

My family consists of my 34 year old nonbinary partner, Levi, and our 2 year old twin cats, Osiris and Leya.

I am a stagehand/entertainment production member, and Levi is a server. We make enough to get by, but moving to a different state is going to take a lot more than a few grand a month. Our goal is to be out of Florida by October at the latest. I have about 4-5 months worth of hormones to last me until then.

Luckily, we've been offered asylum by someone extremely sweet and kind. Her name is Erika with her wife Amber and their 11 year old daughter. We're not sure how long we will stay there, and our goal is to get into our own place as soon as possible, but we graciously have a safe place to stay in the mean time.

My partner and I have been working long and many days a week, and we are saving up as much as we can while paying rent and other bills. This fund will help us mentally as much as anything else, and we don't expect to hit this goal. But it's something to help. Everyone needs to eat and if you don't have the extra bones, keep them for you and yours. We're all in this together.

Here's what your donation will be going towards:

• Renting a small U-Haul

• Gas to drive north

• Food and toiletries

• Visiting expenses (We have tickets on credit to fly out there and scope it out, but will need help with travel to view our community/look at places)

• Vet expenses (We have to get our cats anti anxiety meds or alternative natural remedies because they don't do well at all in a car)

• Liscence transfers

• Housing Expenses (2 months worth of rent)

• Decent Hotel or air bnb in-between states. (It takes about two days to drive there.)

• Emergency funds (Just in case something goes wrong.)

Anything left over, we will be put back into the community by donating to other trans people seeking asylum, trans health care and trans saftey/travel. A lot of us can't move, so we have to help each other out as much as we can.

This is the last thing I wanted to do, is ask for financial help. But we are at a standstill, and can't move forward without it. Honestly, I thought my first gofundme would be for top surgery, but that will have to wait. Safety first.

So, I humbly ask for your coins to help us live our authentic lives in safety and peace. Please, if you can spare, we deeply appreciate it with the utmost respect and gratitude.
