Lessa was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer in September 2022. After undergoing chemo, Double mastectomy and radiation we thought things were looking up. At the beginning of June she started experiencing some pain on her right side due to fluid building up in the outer lining of the lungs. After further testing her triple negative breast cancer has spread to the lining of her lungs. She will start a new Chemo on Thursday July 12th and have a port placed on Friday July 13th to drain the fluid on the lungs. With hope that this Chemo kicks butt the fluid should go away. This type of cancer is not curable but is treatable. She will take this chemo until it stops working and then we will move on to the next Chemo. Thank you all for the continued prayers.
