Hi everyone, my name is Izzy Le. I am a high level volleyball player, and my passion and love for the sport is unlike anything else. However, that was taken from me this year as I just recently tore my ACL in April and before that, I was out because of a torn rotator cuff. This has not only taken me from my sport but it has greatly affected my mental health and my everyday life. I want nothing more than to play my U18 club season, which would be the last season of my career. That season is more important to me than anything, because I can not let my journey end like that. My family and I attempted to go through the public surgery system. However, at the rate my surgery dates are approaching, it has been made near impossible to comeback in time. So, I’m raising funds to cover the cost of a private ACL surgery so I can begin rehab immediately and give myself a real chance to return to the court. Volleyball is not just a sport to me. It is the biggest part of my identity and it’s what introduced me to the community I can call my family. All I want is to play with my family one more time and get my life back.
