Hello My Dear FB friends,
I know you see many stories like this on FB all the time but if you know me well you know this message is important
Many of you are getting ready for the most wonderful time o f the year with your kids and loved ones. Two kids (boys) will not be spending Christmas with their mom this year or ever again ... our dear friend Gosia (age 49) passed away last night ... she fought very hard for past 4 months but God wanted it a different way. She never wanted to trouble others with her problems and always wanted what’s best for her kids, I know it pained her that her kids need to watch her go through this and last night, she continued fighting in pain, was alert but couldn’t really speak and when her sons left after long hrs of being by her bed side she finally could rest forever... she didn’t want her kids to see her take her last breath, because that’s what amazing mothers do, they protect their kids till their last moments.
Friends, the kids were left without financial support to finish school and to burry their beloved mother. Gosia has a great army of friends behind her and we’ve been helping them for the past 4 months financially and also emotionally, but we need help growing that army. No battles have ever been won with small armies ... we bag you to skip that Starbucks coffee and donate at least $5 to help these wonderful kids... and I mean it when I say they are wonderful... it was the hardest thing I ever had to do was to tell them their mother died after they left. I was with them in their home.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the generosity many of you have shown already and we want to thank those who will join our army. As the saying goes “it takes a village”
I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and please take the time to appreciate your loved ones, never wait until tomorrow to see someone you love, because tomorrow is not promised.
Love,
Basia and the Army
