Brian's cancer fight

Hi everyone, it's Claudette.
As most of you may know that Brian was in the hospital for quite a while before Christmas with a collapsed lung. He was there for a week. It was a blessing to get him back home for the holidays. His lung had been collapsed for some time and he was scheduled for an appointment on Monday, but we had to call 911, because he thought that he was having a heart attack, his lung had filled with fluid and was putting pressure on his heart; He went there by ambulance rides from home to Hartsville, then from there to Fairview, and then onto BMC in Pittsfield. They drained 3 liters of fluid from his chest cavity then scheduled him for surgery on January 12th to repair the lung that had a crust around it and the procedure was delayed for a few hours while they dealt with a blood clot that had arose in his calf. Not wanting to delay the surgery they had to put in a screen where the arteries met, so it wouldn't travel to the lung. Finally two weeks later he was able to come home! There are two tubes outside of the lung for draining that he has to deal with daily, for the healing of the lung. But we have to address the finding of masses in the lung and follow up with chemo treatments. As most know, the insurance company only covers so much and the bills are only starting to come in. We appreciate all of the love and support and prayers we are receiving ❤️ In this photo, he was cutting wood for winter with a collapsed lung. If you know him you know it's true. He is one tough, crazy guy.
