Raising for JOY

Joy is one great friend who is full of life.  She brings joy to everyone around her.  She has been a big advocate for vulnerable women & girls and has helped a lot of women in Australia and Zambia through advocacy, life coaching, etc.  Last 20th July 2019 she was admitted at the ICU of Gold Coast University Hospital due to an extreme headache, neck pains and shortness of breath.  Her health went downhill and she's been paralyzed from shoulder down.  The MRI result showed an infection or bacteria in the neck area that attacked the white blood cells of her body causing it to paralyze.  She has undergone plasmapheresis but there's no significant improvement after a week of this treatment.  The doctor said it will take weeks or months or in a worst-case scenario years before her full recovery.  She’s currently undergoing treatment for transverse myelitis.  Meantime, although she has a lot of support from friends here in Australia, she needs the best support from her parents who are in Zambia.  They’re coming to physically help their daughter, but because the cost of coming to Australia is very expensive, they kindly asked for help.  It is in this regard that we sincerely seek your generous hearts to give whatever you can to bring joy to our very dear friend JOY and her daughter Emma in this very difficult time. All the money raised will go to Joy’s parents to help cover their travel expenses.  Thank you for your generosity.
