Ollie was only 4 months old when he was diagnosed with ALL and AML leukaemia. Being under 6 months old at diagnosis and having an extremely high White Blood Cell count upon admission is very rare and not something that the doctors had seen previously in a baby this young.

Ollie didn't have a favourable response to Steroid treatment and having the MLL gene type means that not only is his leukaemia immensely rare, but also extremely aggressive and makes his prognosis heartbreakingly poor. He has an extremely rare type of leukaemia which only affects roughly 1 percent of all leukaemia cases and the majority of these cases are seen in older people, not babies just as young as Ollie.

After Ultrasound scans, Oncologists found that the leukaemia had infiltrated into his Cerebrospinal fluid, his brain, his pancreas, his spleen and other organs.

Ollie’s treatment options are now limited due to his rare form of this disease. We have been told that a bone marrow transplant is inevitable and may be our only option to save his life!

He is in desperate need of a bone marrow donor and specialists are hoping to get this transplant completed in late September/Early October. Unfortunately, Ollie has been unable to get a fully matched donor, which leaves him susceptible to greater complications, which being a new parent, you cannot bare to think about.

He is unbelievably strong, he is so resilient and we would be forever grateful to anyone willing to help him find a full match by signing up to the Bone Marrow Donation Register. The form takes minutes and all you have to do is take a swab you are sent through the post and send it back.

This is now one of our last options and this is the last hope to save our beloved Ollie, if you could find it in your hearts to sign up then this would be appreciated so much, by myself and our whole family that have been closely watching his situation, begging and praying that he will pull through these terrible circumstances!

We weren't sure how much to ask for, but all of the money from this fundraiser will go to the charity that is supporting Ollie through this tough time, with the hope that this money will help them to support more children that find themselves in this situation.
