Help Raise Legal Funds For V

Saturday 5/30/2020 V and hundreds of others gathered in Fullerton, CA in solidarity with Minneapolis to protest the murder of George Floyd and countless other Black and brown folx brutalized at the hands of police.  After police designated this peaceful protest as "unlawful," V and other protestors took a knee in the middle of the intersection in front of the police department. As the police line moved forward, an officer kept kicking their back, forcing them to lay down. They were violently assaulted and arrested. They did not resist arrest. Their hands are covered in scratches, wrists are swollen from being restrained, and there is bruising on their back caused by the THREE officers kneeling on them! After this physical assault on V, Fullterton PD proceeded to post their full name, birthdate, mug shot, and city of residence on the department's social media accounts, further threatening their safety! The day after the social media posts, fireworks were thrown at their home. This is not a coincidence. White supremacists are known for doxxing, harassing, and attacking protestors. V has been ordered to appear in court in September. We are in the process of finding a lawyer to fight the charges and to address the incompetence of Fullerton PD for posting the information they did. This money will go towards gas to court, parking, any fees and fines, medical care, mental health care, and will cover any lost wages due to the trauma and necessary court appearences. Any money raised that is not used will be donated directly to other protestors arrested in Orange County.
