Doris Willis has devoted over 11 years to the Yancey county Humane Society. She has lived the last 7 years next door to the shelter in order to better provide for the animals in the severe weather conditions. Doris is one of the hardest working people you will ever meet and is always willing to help out others. Her selflessness and love has helped save many animals lives.
Recently she has been diagnosed with cancer and is getting treatment, but is having to go through all this living alone since her husband had passed several years ago. Right now we need to give all the love and compassion she gave to the animals and every person she has come into contact with. Please help us raise money for her treatment and any other bills she needs help with.
