In May of this year our friend and coworker was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma. Due to the rarity and severity of this cancer, Ashley has to travel to Mt Sinai in Toronto every 3 weeks and be admitted for chemotherapy. It is an intense regiment that sees her away from her family for a week at a time.

The journey ahead is going to be long, and after 5 rounds and a massive surgery, Ashley and Devin are starting to feel the financial strain. Devin took time off to help Ashley and care for their 10 year old twins, Laina and Jonah, but is now having to go back to work. Time off is tough when the family is already financially strained looking after Jonah, who has autism and type 1 diabetes.

Those who know Ashley and Devin, know they work hard, dedicate themselves to their community (being a paramedic and firefighter respectively) and are constantly there for their kids. Our goal is to help ease the financial burden that a diagnosis like this causes. They have a long road ahead but with their positive attitudes and your help we can get them through this!
