Hi, my name is Michelle. Anyone who knows me knows this is the hardest thing for me to do. I went to the hospital on 5/26/2025 for right-sided pain, which after some testing, I was told I had 20 nodules on my omentum and omentum caking. After many doctor visits and CT scans, PET scans, and MRIs, I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasis to the peritoneum, cancer of the appendix, cancer of the ovaries and a portion of the omentum containing an obvious mucinous tumor. I did six rounds of chemo, which had to be stopped for me to be scheduled for major surgery.
I have had to stop working (I have been trying to work 1-2 days a week when I feel up to it), but I had laparoscopic surgery with a biopsy last week on 10/28/2025, which they took 20.5cm of my omentum out to be biopsied and I haven't been able to work. Also, now I have been scheduled for major surgery on 12/11/2025, where they are planning on removing my appendix, possibly my cecum, doing a total hysterectomy, removing some of my liver, and possibly some of my intestines. They will be doing a procedure called the HIPEC, which is a 90-minute warm chemo washout. So once it is done, I will be in recovery for 8-12 weeks. Hopefully, I will make a full recovery and be able to get back to a normal life. This has been the hardest journey of my life. I am a nurse; I take care of people, and it's the hardest thing for me to do is let someone take care of me. I am just asking if you could please help me until I can get back on my feet and back to work, hopefully by February. So if you could please help me in my time of need so I can rest and not stress. If not, please just pray all goes well, and I go through surgery and have a fast recovery. Thank you so much❤️
