People who know Liz know that she rarely asks for help, and she loves helping others. But this time, we really need it!
Help us pay over $15,000 in medical and medical-related debt, and help Liz pay for the treatments she needs to continue fighting Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She is not ready to give up quite yet!
Liz’s breast cancer journey has been long and arduous. Diagnosed almost 7 years ago, she’s tried (what seems like) every chemotherapy and treatment option available. At this point in time, all the drugs seem to have stopped working and our options are limited.
Liz has not worked a job for 2.5 years due to the constant treatments and physical toll of the side effects. Social Security Disability income is a much appreciated benefit we receive now, but it is not nearly enough to pay the bills, especially when our medical insurance monthly payment was $1,000+ for years after Liz lost her employer-provided insurance in 2022. Luckily, Liz was eligible for Medicare as of July 1, 2024; however, we still debt from the last couple years, and now we have a chemo drug that will cost us over $3,000 a month with the Medicare prescription insurance!
We are also applying for some grants and assistance programs through Breckenridge Ski Resort and some other local foundations.
