Dear friends and family,
My family and I decided to start a GoFundMe to help us give our father the memorial service he deserves.
On Monday, June 23rd, our dad suffered a cardiac arrest at home. After attempting CPR while waiting for an ambulance once dad reached the hospital, his brain had been without oxygen longer than medically safe. Due to vital organs being without oxygen for such a long period of time, he suffered permanent brain damage. While in the hospital, doctors also found that our father has Stage 4 Cancer, unable to test for what type of cancer it may be due to being critically ill, he was unable to undergo any type of chemotherapy or radiation.
Currently, dad is on life support, scheduled to be turned off on Thursday, July 3rd. Praying for miracles, our time has closed in. Dad just celebrated his 64th birthday in May, and we anticipated many years with our father, however, God’s timing looks a little different.
We never prepared for, nor did we foresee an event like this happening (we never thought we would see a day without our dad so soon). After many doctors giving us the same report, “There’s not much more we can do,” “There’s no brain activity,” we started making phone calls, and found out once our dad went into early retirement, he no longer had life insurance.
Our dad was a hardworking man, everyone knew him as David from PrimeTime/Aarons. He sacrificed for so many, daily, and I wish we were prepared enough to make the same sacrifices for him.
We are asking for your support to help cover the costs associated with:
Memorial service arrangements
Floral arrangements
Burial site arrangements
A headstone or memorial plaque
Any amount, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated. Your generosity will help us give our dad the celebration of life he deserves and allow us to focus on healing and honoring his memory.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Thank you for your love, support, and for being a part of our father's journey.
With gratitude,
The Branch Family
