My name is Ping and I am an active duty member in the U.S Air Force. My mom has cancer and I've had to take out loans to fund her treatment. I need your help!! Please read my story, any donation will help.
Mom was diagnosed with cancer over six months ago. She is a Chinese and has worked in rice field in a village all her life. Folks like her don't have medical insurance or money in saving. Without insurance or cash up front means no treatment from any hospital in China. With a heavy heart, I am sincerely asking for your help to save a woman who has had a tremendous impact on my life. Without her protection and constant motivation, I wouldn't be where I am today. Born and raised in a small and remote village in China where only boys mattered, I was expected to forego education to become a teenage wife in an arranged marriage. This is what the village elders did with all the girls, including my mom. She fought against all odds and outside forces to get me out of the village for higher education and protected me from two attempted arranged marriages by the elders. I owe my freedom and everything I have today to her. Mom taught me the importance of personal strength and hard work. She also taught me never give up no matter how hard life gets. When she first discovered her diagnosis of cancer, she wanted to deny treatment because of the high cost of medical bills. She didn't want us to go into further debt for her. But I couldn't let her give up. After 3 months of scrambing, from my brother selling his motorcycle, borrowing from my retirement fund, opening up a few new credit cards, village folks selling eggs/chicken/rice/pigs, and borrowing from friends, we finally collected enough money for the surgery done back in March. Now she is in serious need of chemo therapy, but after exhausted all of our resources for the cancer surgery, I am really at the end of my ropes. We tried every available Air Force associated agency with no success mostly because they don't donate to individuals or just because she is not an American citizen so I was told. But some organizations did recommend me this site, hence I am here sincerely requesting your help!!
