Before I get into the details of every thing I also want to say a big thank you to any one who decides to donate, share, or comment on my page. You mean the absolute world to me for helping me to reach my dream to finally feel happy in my own skin.

What is Top Surgery?
Top surgery is one of the many gender reaffirming surgeries transgender people can go through to feel more comfortable in their own bodies and relieve gender dysphoria. It's where 80-90% of the breast tissue is removed to give a more masculine appearance to the chest.
Why GoFundMe?
Before deciding on making a GoFundMe page I was going through the possibility of my top surgery being covered by the government, but unfortunately I had to turn to private funding. Where I live in Canada the waiting list to see a gender psychologist is 2-3 years. And that's just for one out of the two you need to be approved with before the government can decide to help you or not. For whatever reason in my province you need two letters of approvals from psychologists instead of the standard one letter.
Because of the long waiting times, being self-employed with no insurance of my own, and my mental health in jeopardy... I swallowed my pride and made the decision to make a GoFundMe and ask help from my fellow LGBTQ community.
About Me
I'm a 26 year old Canadian artist and I've been openly living as trans non-binary since March 2018. I'm currently self-employed and been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and gender dysphoria. I'm happily married to a wonderful partner who has helped me find my true self and will be going on this journey with me :)
I've been binding my chest for almost a year now and can say it's both a blessing and a curse in some ways. Because of my cup size I can never truly be flat with a binder (I think a lot of trans men and non-binary folk can relate to this) and it causes some dysphoria for me to see that. I'm hoping surgery will relieve a lot of those bad feelings for me and give me the freedom I desperately want.
On April 9th 2019 I have a phone consultation with a surgeon in Ontario, Canada. Once every thing is in order I’m able to discuss surgery dates from 3 to 6 months away approximately! (Much sooner than I had initially thought so the need for funding is even greater now!)
The Cost Breakdown
The ultimate goal is to hit $11,500 but if we hit $8,000 I will definitely be able secure a spot with a 10% deposit & schedule a surgery date!! yay!!

What's Leftover
