At the Healey School, we have a tradition of bringing our students into the world to learn, both about the world and themselves. Whether it is trip to a play or a college, or an overnight to a working farm or our nation’s capital, our students learn independence, life skills, and hands-on knowledge in a variety of settings. In fact this year our grade 7/8 students will be hitting the road to Niagara Falls for the first time, with all sorts of exciting adventures along the way!
This doesn’t work, though, if not every student can access these experiences, because of family circumstances. That’s where you come in! We are an all-volunteer non-profit, so every dollar donated goes to defray the costs for students who cannot otherwise afford a trip. Direct family field trip payments only cover 65-70% of the total costs for the school’s field trips, the rest is covered by your generosity!
