My Brother Andy
For most of us we each have a special moment that we have shared with our brother Andy, and we all will cherish those moments.
We have seen him have hard times and fun times, but we all love and share his passion of life and his love for his little girl Emma.
His honesty was always right there! He loved the band-Corp concerts (Cavilers’), that he would drag us to come rain or shine; his love for all things scary was scary.
His extreme talent for painting is phenomenal; just look at all of his work and wow he made it look so easy.
His military experience brought him the guise as one of the best emergency medicine instructors, he could get to the root of any issue in a matter of moments and explain it in such a way that anyone could learn from him.
Andy has had a great impact on the US Navy Hospital Corpsman program, it would be hard to describe in words of that impact. Thousands of current Hospital Corpsman owe it to his teachings.
I will have moments that someone in passing will remind me of him and how I miss him.
His spirit will live in our memories that we will never forget our brother Andy - Ray
I received some disheartening news New Year's Eve that our long time friend Andy Sivilaythong has 2-3 weeks left to live. He has been battling Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma which is a type of cancer. The bond that him and his daughter Emma shares is so precious. My thoughts and prayers go out to Andy, his daughter Emma, and his family during this difficult time. He has been a big part of my brothers' and my life since as long as I can remember. Andy was always upbeat he loved to joke around and kept the energy positive. He was the one to put us onto breakdancing. The first one in our group of friends to get his license and he drove us everywhere. I'll always remember all our trips we took with him. Andy is a loyal friend and an awesome father. You could count on Andy for anything he would be there for you in time of need. He is greatly loved.
We are raising money to assist the family with costs associated with medical treatment, preparation for Andy's end of life care, any other funds will be put aside for his daughter Emma whom he loves so dearly. You may also donate directly to the following platforms to minimize any fees associated.
