The Swanson Family
Donation protected
This campaign is to help Chris and Ken Swanson as they go through a difficult time in their lives. Chris and Ken are the parents to one of my best friends, Kelsey. They are two of the most fun, loving people I have ever met. They are always so welcoming and willing to lend a hand to anyone. Chris and Ken would never ask for help, and that is exactly why I wanted to set up this campaign for them.
A few weeks ago, Chris had a mini stroke and has been out of work ever since. There's a possibility that she may be able to return to work some time this month, however, there is no guarantee. This is Chris' second mini stroke. Last year Chris' job cut her benefits, so any additional funds would greatly help this family. The money raised during this campaign will help the Swanson family with medical bills and any other expenses that may arise during the time that Chris is recovering.
A little background on Chris' condition. Back in 2006 Chris was diagnosed with meningioma which are tumors that surround the central nervous system. Chris has tumors on her spine and brain and is monitored regularly. In 2013, Chris received radiation which stopped the tumors from growing, however, they are still present on her brain and spine. Chris has received multiple surgeries on her spine and brain and has been in and out of the hospital over the past 10 years.
I know that Chris and Ken would be so grateful for any funds donated. Please consider donating to their campaign, even if it's only $1. They should be focusing on enjoying their life with their family, not stressing about financial decisions.
