Hi, my name is Janice Kirton and I am trying to raise funds for my daughter, Carrie Thomas (Roser). Carrie lives in Jacksonville FL and works as a cosmetologist. Recently she started loosing weight unexpectedly. She was referred to Obstetrics for further testing. After having several tests and procedures done, it was determined that she had high level cancer cells from her cervix. After having a LEAP procedure it was determined that all the cells were not removed and that she must have a hysterectomy to remove the cancer and hopefully that will correct the problem.

We have paid out several thousand dollars for testing and now find that the 2 insurances she has will not cover this or the time off she will need.

Carrie has had struggles trying to find her nitch which she has found in cosmetology. She loves being around people and  is a loving mother of 2 wonderful children! She is bright and quick with a great sense of humor that always brings laughter to her family and friends. She has a heart of gold and is always willing to offer a helping hand to others.  

This diagnosis has been devastating to us and the expense of the tests had to be paid out of pocket. The hospital is requiring a large amount of payment upfront before the surgery is done. It is scheduled for May 19th and we are out of ideas. We thought her insurance would pay after meeting a deductible, but now find that it will not cover this surgery and we know that the quicker it is done the better the outcome will be. 

I am a nurse and understand the financial issues our medical facilities face. The hospital is aware of the urgency of the surgery, but have financial guidelines they have to meet so we are reaching out for help with this expense.
