Celebration of a beautiful life and soul

Donation protected
Hi everyone, a lot of you my know my mother, Karen Rosado. She had a long painful fight with cancer that she ultimately lost on May 29, 2022. She was diagnosed with a malignant liposarcoma of her retroperitoneal space which was said to be inoperable. I thank God she was able find a surgeon on the top of his field. Dr. Koshenkov from Rutgers Cancer Institute gave her so much extra time with us when no one else would. My mom had such a good soul, her surgeon even came in after to hug and kiss her to make sure she was okay. Nurses thought she must be family but no, she had that effect on people and he was a genuinely wonderful surgeon.

She leaves behind her grieving husband of 42 years, her two children, many loving siblings, her dad and stepmom and many in-laws and friends. Luckily we were able to spend her last moments holding her hand and ensuring she was comfortable as she passed onto a better, pain-free life.

We created a fund once before to help with her surgery expenses and it was successful - so thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Those donations allowed her to have her final surgery that let us have her for a few more months. Those months were tough but they’ve left us all with memories and the extra time we so desperately needed.

We we’re able to get some state assistance with her cremation but was wanting to see if anyone would like to contribute to her celebration of life party. My mom lived to entertain her friends and family and loved decorating. During Covid my father lost his job, health insurance and his memory has been declining since. He has been DoorDashing for extra money but he suffers from Myasthenia gravis that effects one eye so badly he can’t see yet he’s still out there trying to make ends meet.

Their home was my moms pride and joy, always filled with beautiful flowers and beautiful design style. We’re doing everything in our power to keep the home in our family, which is currently housing my father, disabled brother, his wife and three growing teenagers. But as most know, times are tough.

If you are unable to assist that is perfectly fine, maybe you’d like to leave some words of encouragement, a message to my mom or simply keep sharing this post to get it out there as much as possible. Her Facebook page was also  memorialized so feel free to leave love and support there as well.

My moms only request was for a Celebration of life party at the house. She didn’t want people sad she wanted them to celebrate her life in the way she loved to entertain. Myself and my sister-in-law set it up for June 25th but with the costs of up keeping the home and paying the bills on such a limited income it’s been difficult. Any amount will help or just keep sharing ❣️

If anyone would like to help make this celebration one we’ll never forget and one mom would be proud watching down and dancing in the sky. She loved Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum so I can just picture it now.  We’d be able to celebrate her life just like she would of dreamed - A nice gathering of all her friends and family. Funds would be used for landscaping, beautiful flowers, her obituary and an open pool. We’re also hoping to have some left over to help my father pay the bills until we figure out our next steps.

Please keep sharing ❤️

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart
