In the excitement of a real Cyclocross season starting, we may have gotten way ahead of ourselves and started a Pro Cross Team at the last minute. ASU Devo ProCx is a Team made up of 3 U23 kids trying to make it on the Pro Circut this year with plans to race in Europe after Nationals in Chicago. Ryder, Nate, and Nico are in the begining of their first pro season in cyclocross. Because of COVID-19 neither were able to race last year and this year was touch and go until the last 2 weeks. We are trying to raise money for entry fees, travel, parts, and mechainical support. As we said, the main goal is to make it to Europe in December to train, race, and hopefully get enough points to qualify for the U23 World Championships here in the States in February. They will be held at the new UCI cyclocross course in Fayetteville, Arkansas. These men have raced half their lives to make it to this point and sincerly need your help to make it to the next level!!

Racers:

Ryder Uetrecht: Ryder has been racing bikes Nationally since he was 12. Raised in Bend, Oregon, Ryder races mountain, road, and cyclocross and has placed in the top 5 multiple times at National events. He continues to chase a National Championship and has placed on the second step at Cyclocross Nationals in 2016. Ryder also represented the US in Europe in 2019 and is hoping to do so again this year! Ryder is a Sophmore at Marian University, studying business, and racing Mountain, Road, and Cyclocross on the Varsity Team.

Nicholas Tabaras: Nico has been racing nationally since he was 11 years old starting his career racing Nate Knowles at the Mellow Johnny Classic in 2013. He won that race (Nate second) and they have been chasing each other around the country ever since. Nico moved from Florida to Denver, Co to chase his dream and has been steadily climbing the ranks ever since. He placed 10th at Mountain Bike Nationals this year in short track and 17th in the XC race. He also represented the US at the Pan American Games in 2021. Nico is a Sophmore at Red Rocks CC studying Cyber Security with plans to transfer and race bikes in College next year.

Nate Knowles: Nate has been racing nationally since he was also 11 starting his racing career with Nico at the Mellow Johnnies Classic in 2013. Nate did win a national championship in 2018 at Fatbike Nationals in Grand Rapids, MI, and has multiple top 10s in diffierent disciplines over the years. Nate is a Junior at Marian Univerisity studying business and racing Mountain and Cylcocross on the Varisity Team. He is from Batavia, Il.

These young men have been friends and competitors for over a quarter of their lives, which makes it even more special that they finally are getting a chance to race together. They are committed to making the best of this cyclocross season and are looking forward to what the future holds. Nate, Nico, and Ryder have earned the right to race at this level and could really use a hand to make it to the next step. Please know that whatever you give will go to helping these three young men achieve their goal, and that they will give everything they have to make it so.
