HELP SAVE OUR LITTLE LUNA
Donation protected
Our little family adopted a beautiful silver tabby we named Luna in October last year, she came to us at 4 months old, she was bubbly, playful and chubby although it’s taken her months to be social and less timid she had started to come out of her shell, she was adventurous and loved snuggling up, unfortunately in the last few weeks we have noticed her almost fading away in front of us, although she was eating and going to the toilet fine, she started to look disheveled, and we could see she was losing weight, she started sleeping more and was shying away from any contact.
So we took her to the vets to get checked out, her blood tests have shown a rapid decline - she has anaemia and jaundice, she has a lump they need to identify and a possible chronic condition to do with her blood vessels which may be stopping her liver from processing her food - basically anything she eats is not giving her the nutrients she needs at all which explains her rapid decline.
Luna is such a special part of our family and we want to do the best we can by her, our vet has suggested an Ultrasound as soon as possible which is in the realm of $800-$1000 and after that a possible operation to stop the blood vessels from hindering her liver processing her food. We haven’t been quoted for that yet but it won’t be cheap. We like so many families are literally living week to week, any sales I get from my jewellery business right now are going directly to bills and debt we already have.
for the first time we are just not in a position to pay for big medical bills, we don’t have a back up right now. We have been so very lucky in the past to never have health issues with our pets so poor little Luna is our first, anything you could spare would be so helpful, as a family filled with amazing miracles - we hope we can pull one out of the hat for our little Luna! Every single cent will go to her care - Ultrasound, Medication, Special diet and possible operation.
IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!!
Luna is close to having a definitive diagnosis because of your amazing support we were able to get her ultrasound and tests, all up it came to $1350 yesterday at the vets, we have a little bit available on Vet Pay but your donations have been imperative to her care! So far it is looking like it’s FIP which is basically a feline version of Covid! This would have been a death sentence a few years ago but treatment has come a long way and today I’m taking her to a FIP specialist vet - although I said I can’t have another consultation with a nowhere outcome, I need treatment today!

Postive things happening - she is still going to the toilet and still drinking water, she is still seeking cuddles and comfort. We are reaching the end of our budget so if you can spread the news any donations from now are going towards her treatment! I will be holding an earring fund raiser for her treatment through my brand Polly Collective!! To hopefully pay for the treatment she needs!!!!
