Help my Poppy save his best friend Buddy
Donation protected
Buddy is my 80 year old grandfather’s beloved cat, who was his support cat through his cancer treatments. While my Poppy was away attending a funeral for a lifelong friend, Buddy was accidentally let outside. He had never been outside before and didn’t know how to find his way back home.
For six long days, Buddy was missing. My Poppy was heartbroken—he cried every night, fearing the worst and praying for his best friend’s safe return. We searched high and low, putting up posters, knocking on doors, and sharing his photo on social media.
Then, a miracle happened. A kind woman found Buddy and reached out. When Poppy and Buddy were reunited, it was emotional—tears of joy after days of grief.
But Buddy wasn’t the same. He was skinny from not eating and limping badly. We rushed him to the vet and found out that he had been hit by a car. He had suffered a dislocated shoulder and a broken leg—most likely on the very first night he went missing. Because of the time that passed between when he got hurt and when he was found, his injuries have become more complicated and now require treatment from a specialist, not just a regular vet.
My Poppy is devastated all over again—not just from the trauma of losing Buddy, but now having to watch him suffer. He would do anything to help his best friend, but the cost of surgery is more than he can manage on his own.
That’s why we’re asking for your help. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Buddy’s surgery and recovery. Please help my Poppy give his best friend the second chance he deserves.
