On December 23rd my sister Mariah was found unconscious and non responsive. She has been in ICU in Utah ever since. The doctors told us that she would most likely never wake up and if she did she would have a severe deficit because of all the brain swelling and damage. This has been an emotional roller coaster to say the least. At one point we were told she would never wake up and this was as far as she would go, we were hours away from signing organ donation papers and taking her off life support, we were saying our final goodbyes when all of a sudden she opened her eyes. Something we were told she would never do due to the amount of brain damage she has suffered. Needless to say, we are not giving up on her. She's a fighter and so are we. She was transferred from a small hospital in Payson Utah to a hospital in Murray Utah. We are told this hospital has a great neurology department and we are hoping and praying for the best. we are asking for any help you can give to help my parents be able to stay out here with my sister. We have no idea when she will be transferred back to California if she ever even does. This is not easy for us, but we are at a stand still and have decided to ask for help. We have already been shown to much love and support. So many of you have reached out and we appreciate it all so much. One thing I ask of you all, even if you can not donate, is to pray for Mariah. Pray we get that miracle. We love you all and thank you so much for standing with us during this difficult time.
