Help Us Save Thor
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but here we are. Our dog Thor — who honestly feels more like our child than a pet — was recently diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease. It turns out he has a tumor on his adrenal gland, and the only real option is to have it surgically removed. The tough part is, the tumor is in a really tricky spot near his heart, and the only place equipped to handle it is Virginia Tech.
Thor is 13, but he’s still got so much life and fight left in him. If you know him, you know he’s the most loyal, stubborn, leader you’ll ever meet. He’s been part of our family through everything — good times, bad times, late nights, all of it. And now he needs us more than ever.
The cost of the surgery and treatment is about $8,000. We’ve already poured everything we could into vet bills this year. Emma had bladder stone surgery, Captain (our other pup) got really sick and passed away from an infection, and Thor had an eye injury just before this diagnosis. We have spent close to $12,000 in vet bills this year alone.
We’re asking for help — from friends, family, anyone who’s ever loved a dog and knows what they mean to us. If you’re able to donate anything at all to help us cover Thor’s surgery, we’d be so grateful. And even if you can’t donate, just sharing this means the world to us.
Thor is still wagging his tail and still showing us every day that he’s not ready to give up. We’re not ready either.
Thank you for reading this and being here for us.
