Studying Social Justice Abroad!
Hello friends, family, Peers and Strangers!
For those of you who don’t know me, my name’s Ethan Scott Barnett!
I originally hail from a small town in the Hudson Valley, but have been living in and around New York City for the past 4 years.
I’m currently a student at Brooklyn College focusing my studies around Human Rights and Social change! I’ve always gotten extreme pleasure of helping people and with the recent events in Baltimore, Paris, Syria and right here in New York - I find myself dedicated to activism. When I was given the opportunity to take a trip to Cambodia during the winter 15/16 to study Human Rights and Transitional Justice in Post Genocide Cambodia – I jumped at the opportunity!
Unfortantely, with my trip just 27 days away, I’ve realized that I’m NOT going to be able to fund my entire trip. I’ve tried picking up extra shifts at work, looked into weird craigslist ads and applied for grants – anything to put a little more money towards my trip.
With that, I'm asking you to help me fund the last 25% of my trip!
The $2,000 will be split between the following expenses:
50% : Travel
25%: Provisions
15% : Film Production
10%: Tuition
Many thanks in advance for even taking time to read part of my story and for the support. I'm truly looking forward to this next leg of my journey and to see what's to come!
Best Regards,
Ethan Scott Barnett
