Help Us Honor Lolo's Memory
Donazione protetta
Dear loving community,
It is with a heavy heart that our family reaches out for your support in honoring the life of our Lolo. On Thursday, January 16th, 2025, Jose Dolores Lopez, known lovingly to his family as "Lolo", passed away at the age of 67, surrounded by his family at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco, California.
Lolo came to San Francisco in the early '80s from El Salvador and worked to provide for his family. He was married to our Mama Dora for 48 years, and they were able to share the wonderful experience of becoming great-grandparents together.
Despite many hardships, Lolo was a resilient, hilarious, kind-hearted man who had an infectious laugh and the brightest smile. He loved to tell jokes and cook delicious meals for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dora; four kids, Edwin, Ingrid, Jonathan, and Karen; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
On top of working through the grief from loss, the process of honoring a loved one can be made inaccessible and financially burdensome. As a result, we're left navigating this challenging time humbly asking for support and kindness. Truly, anything goes a long way in our mission to give Lolo a proper ceremony and burial.
All donations would directly support Lolo's funeral expenses and the cost of burial.
With love,
The Lopez Family
