Trip with Haiti Allies - August '16

Hi, it's Pastor Moira and I'm raising money so that I can go on a Journey of Mutual Exchange with Haiti Allies in August 4-12, 2016.
Haiti Allies is an incredible organisation, started by my friend (and amazing musican) Bryan Sirchio. Working in the poorest country in our hemisphere, Haiti Allies supports Cite Soleil Community School (CSCS) on the outskirts of Port au Prince, and work with the Sisters of Charity's orphanage and home for the destitute and dying.
Haiti is burdened with a history of foreign occupation, slavery, exploitation, and incredible poverty.
And yet, the Haitian people are resiliant, and hopeful.
This trip (like all that Haiti Allies sponsors) is NOT a mission trip where we go to provide services. Instead, we work alongside the Haitian people, to learn from them and with them.
The cost of the trip is approximately $2500 which includes airfare from near home (probably Milwaukee), and all the expenses in Haiti.
Yes, I've set the goal at $3000 because anything raised over expenses will be given to the work of Haiti Allies.
I am deeply grateful for whatever funds you have to help me on this most amazing trip. I expect my heart to be broken, and opened, and renewed, and I look so forward to sharing this wonderful place with my friend Bryan.
