Ambers Vet bill

My names Isabelle, my dog Amber is nearly ten years old, because it was so hot last night we walked our dogs by the canal. It was so hot and our dogs really enjoyed the swim, later when we got home Amber had a long wire hanging out of her mouth, when looking further the wire was all the way down her throat; we rushed her to the vets, the consult alone at 10:30 was £300. Amber was struggling, the wire was getting shorter as she continuously tried to swallow it further. The vets then informed us that she would need a sedative and an x-ray, each costing £150 each. My mum, who has a personality disorder was in despair, we spent the better part of an hour sat in a dark waiting room, exhausted and worried. When seeing the x-ray Amber had swallowed a fish hook, it was all the way in her stomach, luckily she had a full stomach so it hadn’t caught to her stomach lining, the option of an endoscopy was out of the window as the tools were to small and she had a full stomach, we had the option to leave it a few days which would make it more likely the hook could rip through her abdomen or move to the intestines where it would shred them. The only option was surgery, which would cost us £3000. In no way does my single mum have the money for that, we are living hand to mouth as it is, we are only in this position because of a foolish fisherman leaving his hook in the water, where ducks, swans, dogs, all animals swim. We can’t take Amber home until we’ve paid the bill, and the longer she stays the more it increases, please help.
