This is an extremely urgent situation. I am fundraising for Elena Prochaska, a dear friend who has been there for me for the past 31 years. My dear friend has has a rough 6 years but things were finally starting to look up when she was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Elena is a fighter and a previous cancer survivor so hope is always with her! We are scrambling to help her through this and I am worried about her moral as well as her physical being with all that is going on. I hope that this fundraiser will at least help her with the financial burden she is facing. As we all know, Cancer sucks and it comes with many price tags: financial, emotional, mental, physical.

It would take me hours to tell you all of my Elena stories so I will simplify: Elena has always been the life of the party but yet the level headed friend I could turn to in time of need, and there were many of those times. I have watched her raise 4 children and she was one of the only people who got me through the almost death of my first child upon birth. She rallied those doctors and advocated for me to the nurses when I couldn't advocate for myself. I love Elena like a sister.

She has a very strong faith in God and, even though it's been tested these last few years by the death of her parents, divorce, illness and depression, she rallies on like no one I have ever seen.
