Never Looked So Good to Me Before, an original song by Kate, will be released on Sept 27, 2024, promoted to radio stations in the United States, Canada, and Europe, and will be available on all streaming formats. $1200 will cover the expenses of promoting this piece of music that’s already been recorded and is in the queue for professional promotors scheduled to help this music reach a wide listening audience.
Supporters at this site will be kept informed of the song’s release activity, and will be forwarded reviews. If funds are raised beyond the goal, they will be used to further the group's recording processes.
Mind the Gap features award-winning songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kate MacLeod, accompanied by Paul Hammerton on vocals and guitar, John Bryant on vocals and bass, and Matthew Metz on vocals and mandolin. This new group with a unique Americana sound is a recent development in Kate’s work that features the excellent musicians she’s been performing with in the eastern USA, where her roots are. This is an example of how good things can come from helping others, as it was Kate’s dedication to looking after an elderly parent that led to these musicians meeting and working together on music.
The song was recorded by engineer Dustin DeLage at Cabin Studios in Leesburg, VA.
