My name is Amanda and I am starting a go fund me for my Mom, Cathy. About a month ago my mom was experiencing some symptoms that were causing the left side of her arm and face to go numb, she went to the ER and they gave her multiple tests and ended up sending her home. After this incident a couple of weeks later she was back in the ER with concerns of a stroke. When she followed up with her doctor (they had to run various testing over the last month) she found out that she indeed experienced a TIA and that she had high blood platelets. Her primary doctor was concerned about the high platelets and told her that he was sending the test off to the Mayo Clinic. He also told her that she had to go to the hematologist. We just got news yesterday that she has to start chemo next week and they will be giving her a bone marrow biopsy to find out what kind of specific blood cancer she has. I am asking for as many PRAYERS first and foremost as we can get. My mom is the kindest, most wonderful woman with a heart of gold. She is the one that always goes above and beyond to help every person in her life. I cannot put into words how much I love her and just want her to make it through this with the least amount of stress possible. My Father is retired and my mom works still, but is going to have to take time off now. They are on a fixed income and any help would be tremendous.

On Tuesday June 17 Cathy will be having her bone marrow biopsy to find out the extent of the blood cancer and what kind it is.

Life has been surreal for our family as we wait for the tests and results.

After the biopsy results come back she will be starting chemo therapy. I really want my mom to be able to be as stress free as possible when she's going through this journey.

With your donations it will help tremendously so she can take time off work.
