Help Trish In Her Recovery
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Jodi and I am organizing this fundraiser to support my aunt Trish, after she has endured a serious accident. I hope we can all support Trish‘s recovery after what has been and continues to be an extremely challenging and painful journey.
On June 19th, in downtown Tampa, Florida, Trish was thrown by an automated door, that resulted in a fractured right shoulder, three pelvic bones, her iliac bone on her left side, and her L5 vertebrae. The doctors say that the fractured pelvic bones are one of the most painful injuries and take the longest to heal.
Initially Trish spent a full day in an emergency ward and then eight days in the trauma ward at Tampa General Hospital, unable to walk or even stand. After nine days she was moved to a rehab center, where she remains today. She has been spending nearly 3 hours a day in occupational and physical therapy sessions along with morning and nightly exercises, learning how to care for herself again - eating, bathing, standing, and maneuvering a wheelchair with one good arm.
As I’ve watched her go through this monumentally painful journey over the past few weeks, I am inspired by her strength, determination and focus. Trish has exceeded expectations, showcasing a commitment that surpasses basic requirements in her physical therapy and has remained diligent with her Shen Gong practices and energy work to strengthen her body. This unexpected situation has turned her world upside down and she never complains and continues to remain positive. However, the medical bills are mounting and the costs of care and rehabilitation are overwhelming.
That's why I am reaching out to her friends, community, and heart centered people for help. Your generosity can make a profound difference in her life – easing the burden of the costs she cannot control. I ask that you please keep Trish in your prayers and share this message. For those of you who are able to contribute, all donations will go directly to paying her medical bills, and easing her financial burden while she continues to heal.
Your support, thoughts, prayers, and contributions are deeply appreciated more than words can ever express. Thank you all for your generosity and for being a part of her support system during this extremely challenging time
