Baby Oaks

I am creating a GoFundMe account to assist the family in covering past and future co-pays, uncovered medical expenses, travel expenses, in-home care expenses, and the overall loss of work and financial impact this has caused their family. We are a Rock Creek neighborhood family that has become friends with their beautiful family over the past year.
Many of you have followed their story either directly with Jared and Alisha or via Facebook updates that Alisha has been posting over the past 7 months. Oaks Hendrickson came into the world after his heart rate dropped via an emergency c section on July 30, 2019. Oaks was born without a heartbeat and he was not breathing. After more than 9 minutes, the doctors were able to resuscitate him. He has been in NICU for the better part of his 7 months of life. He finally arrived home on February 24, 2020 and the family is praying that he will get to stay there.

Oaks is a miracle baby that has fought harder than most people will have to fight through their entire lives. The full extent of some of the impacts of being born without a heartbeat is yet to be known. Oaks had significant bowel issues which included multiple surgeries over the past 7 months. It appears Oaks is unable to hear as well. Through all the ups and downs both Jared and Alisha have showed incredible faith and stood strong as a family! I honestly do not know if I could have endured as much as the both of them have and stay as humble and shown such unwavering faith in our good lord.
