Shelby's Medical Fund

My name is Shelby Malehorn and I was born and raised in beautiful Glenwood Springs, Colorado. When I was 5 years old I was diagnosed with "Landau Kleffner Syndrome" which is a rare form of childhood epilepsy.  After many visits to many different doctors around the country, different combinations of different medications, countless seizures, and speech therapy appointments after 10 years, my EEG brain scans finally came out clear. Around 18 years of age I started having the occasional absense seizure and the older I got the more frequent and more intense my seizures started to get. Then on the night of November 9, 2016 my health took a turn for the worse, I had a 5 minute seizure and lost my speech. In turn I am unable to work, drive, go to school, or be by myself for more than an hour.  As a result I have decided to ask my community for assistance because I am starting to be unable to pay for my bills and I really need help.  I would be truly thankful for any help I recieve.
