In April of this year, our beloved friend and brother Jafet Martinez received the uninvited diagnosis of Colon Cancer. Besides that cancer, he had 2 suspicious nodes in the lungs that couldn't be biopsied due to the location. Since then, he had a surgery and several rounds of chemo that were expected to remove all cancer from his body. While the cancer was removed from his Colon, and it was expected that the chemo would kill what was left in his lungs, he started to have an allergic reaction to his chemo, so his treatment had to be stopped and revised. Fast forward, he now has 4 new nodes in a lung and he now faces the need to revise his treatment and deal with this new intruder.

Jafet's support system consists of his lovely and strong wife Paulette and amazing kids Alexander and Sofia. They've been his rock during this time, besides friends and family. But us, his friends, want to show them that they are not alone and he is not only in our thoughts, prayers, good vibes and get well wishes, we want to show our support via this GoFundMe given that Paulette is the sole source of income of the household at this time.

Jafet has been a true friend and brother to many people during his life. In this moment, he is the one who needs our support. Now it's a good time to reciprocate a small part of all the things he has done for us.
