YWAM DTS Japan

My name is Joshua Flynn. Recently, I was accepted to do a Discipleship Training School in Tokyo, Japan through Youth with a Mission (YWAM). YWAM is a multi-denominational Christian organization aimed at making the gospel known throughout the world.

So who am I? I am a 20 year old living in Clovis, California. At this stage of life, I have been working part-time at McDonald's for almost two years now, and I am ready for the next step.

The DTS will take place from June 6th to October 24th. For the first three months, I will be in lecture phase. During this phase, I will be attending lectures on a normal basis with the idea that we will grow and be filled, strengthening our faith and giving us foundations in which to live by. After the three months of lecture, we will be going on outreach, which will be partly in Japan, and probably the Philippines. During this time, we will use what he have learned and reach out to the people there.

Preparing for this next step comes with challenges of their own. It means I have to step out of my comfort zone and reach out to people like you for support. It means I have to conquer my irrational fear of rejection when doing so. So if you wouldn’t mind supporting me in prayer for that and the funding, I’d be grateful.

The school is going to cost roughly $9000 (including airfaire). If you feel led to give, I'd really appreciate it. I feel like this trip will be incredibly awesome for my walk as I walk in community with my fellow "classmates".
